(Nordic Business Report Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Swedish antenna systems developer Smarteq AB (OMX First North: SMAQ B) issued its first quarter report on Thursday (22 May) posting an operating profit of SEK1.56m, as compared to a loss of SEK0.58m in the first quarter of 2007.The net turnover amounted to SEK28.27m, as compared to SEK23.43m in the first quarter last year.Smarteq said that the improvement was mainly due to increased sales of antennas for remote electricity meters, but also due to increased sales within the business area Automotive.Earnings per share improved to a profit of SEK0.01 from a loss of SEK0.01.
