Smarteq started in the Stockholm suburb of Bromma, where Jonas Svensson began by delivering accessories for mobile telephones. The company focused on development and sales of hands-free equipment

Carant Antennas was acquired. The decision was made to expand the company. The idea was to increase sales, diversify into antenna systems and gain expertise in vehicle antenna manufacturing.

Acquisition of Allgon Antenna Automotive Division, further broadening the scope of Smarteq´s product offering

Reconstruction as a result of lower profitability than expected

Refining of operations. Drastic changes in the hands-free market resulted in a decision to phase out hands-free as a product area and focus solely on antennas.

In October Smarteq enters into the expansive WLAN/FWA market with the acquisition of Svenska Antennspecialisten.
Today Smarteq is a focused and knowledgeable company. We are a well reputed and recognized high-quality supplier to large car and heavy truck manufacturers. In the industrial area Smarteq has large contracts on supplying antennas to meter readings, GSM-alarms etc.
